Learn to live in the present

Beneath the market turmoil, budget cuts and perceived
personal struggle, there is an individual and collective awakening
happening. Here are some suggestions for thriving through these trends: Your Own Truth People are starting to hear and follow their inner
knowing. External messages and demands are not working for them and
they are turning to the only place where truth is found, within
themselves. This is a cornerstone of awakening, which often happens
when old ways exhaust themselves or severely compromise your well
being. If you find yourself feeling out of synch with your
environment and turning towards your own voice, you are on track. If
your company regards this highly and encourages you, it is the right
place to work. What you bring from this pure place will lead you both
where business needs to go. If work does not appreciate and support
you, trust the new. There are many healthy places and ways to prosper. Quietness Do not worry if you are feeling the need and urge to be
still. Small talk becomes exhausting when you discover your depth. With
authenticity, the price of empty socialising becomes too high. You find
inspiration and fulfillment in solitude and have more discerning
relationships that are deeper and more meaningful. Managing Opposites Your life and business also settle into a more balanced
flow between opposites, like quiet time on your own and then
interactional time with people. Both are healthy and productive in
different ways and the movement between them keeps you dynamic and
alert. One is a solution to the problems of the other, so alternating
between them becomes like breathing in and out. New Language To articulate and work with your new experience, you
learn a new language. Commodities, performance criteria and
relationships are changing, too, so not only do you need to express a
new personal reality in new ways, but the form and function of your
connections and collaboration with coworkers and customers is also
evolving fast. A new language may take getting used to but people pick
up on your genuineness and respond well to it. They crave and seek the
same. Also, with practice and comfort in the new way, the quality of
your use of existing business language will be enriched by where you
are coming from, which is a place of growing consciousness. Being Real Authenticity is perhaps the most simple yet profound
pillar of power in new business. Nothing is more important or more
effective. It works for you personally and for your colleagues and
clients. Being real is inherently intelligent. True innovation
surprises you when you are being yourself. After a lifetime of
conforming at a price, realness truly delights you, too! Again, if your organisation cannot respond wisely and
enthusiastically to your awakening, it may not be keeping up. I have
found, though, that people and businesses act healthily and heartily
towards open sincerity, as it is the evolutionary impulse with all of
us. Take risks and lead through growth. Staying Present The here and now is where it is at! Gently bring yourself
back to it whenever you remember to or notice that you have drifted
off. Presence brings your intelligence to bear, making you centred, alert, responsive, insightful, understanding,
compassionate and happy. There is nothing you cannot handle here and now. There is
nothing more uplifting, fulfilling and prosperous than the present.
